What your chat status means

Requested, Confirmed, Completed, Declined and the rest: what each status under Your coffee chats means and what to do next.
Your chats live under Your coffee chats, on the right of Coffee Chats, beside the shepherds. On a tablet or phone, press View on the Your coffee chats strip above the shepherds: it also shows your next chat. Upcoming holds requests and confirmed chats that haven't happened yet; Past holds everything else. Five chats show at a time; the arrows under the list show the rest.
Each status
| Status | What it means | What you can do |

| Requested | Your shepherd hasn't answered yet | Wait for their reply, or withdraw it to pick another time |
| Confirmed | Your shepherd accepted. We've emailed you a calendar invite | Join the call at the time shown. Message them if anything changes |
| Ended | The time of a confirmed chat has passed, and your shepherd hasn't recorded how it went yet | Rate your chat |
| Completed | Your shepherd recorded that the chat happened | Rate your chat |
| Missed | Your shepherd recorded that the chat didn't happen | If you did meet, ask them to mark it completed |
| Not confirmed | The time passed before your shepherd answered | Book again with a new time, or try another shepherd |
| Declined | Your shepherd couldn't take the chat, or can't make it any more after confirming | Book someone else, or pick another time with them |
| Withdrawn | You withdrew the request | Book again whenever you like |
| Closed | An older request without a time, which we closed | Book again with a time |
Requested
What it means: Your shepherd hasn't answered yet
What you can do: Wait for their reply, or withdraw it to pick another time
Confirmed
What it means: Your shepherd accepted. We've emailed you a calendar invite
What you can do: Join the call at the time shown. Message them if anything changes
Ended
What it means: The time of a confirmed chat has passed, and your shepherd hasn't recorded how it went yet
What you can do: Rate your chat
Completed
What it means: Your shepherd recorded that the chat happened
What you can do: Rate your chat
Missed
What it means: Your shepherd recorded that the chat didn't happen
What you can do: If you did meet, ask them to mark it completed
Not confirmed
What it means: The time passed before your shepherd answered
What you can do: Book again with a new time, or try another shepherd
Declined
What it means: Your shepherd couldn't take the chat, or can't make it any more after confirming
What you can do: Book someone else, or pick another time with them
Withdrawn
What it means: You withdrew the request
What you can do: Book again whenever you like
Closed
What it means: An older request without a time, which we closed
What you can do: Book again with a time
On each chat
- The shepherd's photo and name (rest your mouse on either, or press it, to open their profile) and the date and time in your time zone.
- Under Past: Rate and your shepherd's first name, once the chat is over. It then shows the stars you gave, with Edit your rating while you can still change it. Rating your chat
- Under Upcoming: the chat's status, and Join call when your shepherd uses audio calls on KoffeeChat.
- More (the … button) shows the rest: the status and topic, Summary or Recording after a recorded call, Message and your shepherd's first name whenever you can write to them, and Change or withdraw on a request they haven't answered yet.
The Past tab says how many chats are waiting for your rating.
