Got a meeting link from a shepherd?
For talents and shepherdsUpdated 1 Oct 2026
Open it, sign in and confirm: an instant call starts straight away, and a one-off time is booked for you. It's free.
Shepherds can share a link for a call right now or for one time outside their usual hours. Whoever opens it first and confirms gets it, so open it soon.
Taking the link
- Step 1: Open the link. You'll see who it's with, when (Now, or the time in your own time zone), how long, and any note from the shepherd.
- Step 2: Not signed in? Create a free account or sign in right there on the page, with Google or your email. You come back to the same link.
- Step 3: For an instant call, press Join now: the call opens straight away. For a one-off time, press Confirm this time.
After a one-off, you'll see You're booked in with Add to calendar, and we email you the details. Either way, the chat shows under Your coffee chats, marked Instant or One-off.
A one-off link still works for 10 minutes after its start time. If you take it then, the page tells you how long ago it started, so join straight away.
Open the link again later and it shows what happened since: This meeting was cancelled (with Book a time) if the shepherd can't make it any more, or This call has ended once it's over. If the shepherd cancels, we also tell you in the app and by email.
If the link has closed
- Someone got here first: another person took it.
- This link has expired: an instant link closes an hour after the shepherd made it, and a one-off link 10 minutes after its start time.
- This link was cancelled: the shepherd closed it.
Ask the shepherd for a new link, or book a time with them from their profile. Booking a coffee chat
