Creating more than one career ladder

My ladder runs from the role you're in to your dream role. You can also build a ladder for any path you're exploring, to see the steps that lead there.

Creating a ladder for a path

1. 1Step 1: Go to Grow → Explore other paths.
2. 2Step 2: On the path you'd like to explore, press Create career ladder.
3. 3Step 3: We take you to Career Ladder and build it. It takes a few seconds.

• The path's role sits at the top, and the rungs below build towards it.
• Ladders are free: they never use KoffeePoints.
• A path's ladder shares its path's slot with the path's growth plan. If the path doesn't have a slot yet, creating the ladder uses one. Your career path slots
• With every slot in use, the popup opens before anything is built. Your career path slots
• The button isn't shown for a path that's the same as the role you're in now. For a path that's your dream role, Open career ladder opens My ladder, which already leads there.

Switching between ladders

Above the rungs, Your career ladders lists My ladder first, then one for each of your career paths. Press one to switch; a path's ladder is built (free) the first time you open it. On a path's ladder, a line tells you which path it was built from, with a button to open or create that path's growth plan.

The last option is always there. While you have a free slot it's Add a path, which takes you to Explore other paths to pick one. Once every slot is in use it's a locked Add another path: on Free, it explains that you can add another growth path and generate a ladder for it, and opens the upgrade prompt. On Free, you'll be offered an upgrade to Plus or Pro for more paths, or you can remove a path to free its slot. On Plus and Pro, and for shepherds, where upgrading adds no more slots, you'll see Remove a path to free a slot instead.

What works the same on every ladder

• Shepherds at each level (hover a face for their card) and Create growth plan on the rungs below the top.
• Edit role on You are here: your current role is shared by all your ladders.

Which ladder shepherds see

When you share your career ladder with a shepherd (in a booking, in Messages or through Settings → Privacy & visibility), they see My ladder. Choosing which of your ladders to share is coming later.

Removing a ladder

A path's ladder goes when you remove the path from Your career paths. Its growth plan and the tasks you've ticked are kept. My ladder can't be removed.
