Setting up your organisation

Claim your company's page or create a private organisation, and what you can do once you're set up.
An organisation on KoffeeChat is your company's home: your public company page, your people and your hiring, all in one dashboard. There are two ways to start.
Start setting up
- Step 1: Create your account with Continue with Google, or with your work email and a password.
- Step 2: Under How will you use KoffeeChat?, choose We're an Organisation and press Continue.
- Step 3: Choose Claim your company page or Create a private organisation.
Claim your company page
Choose this when your company is already listed on KoffeeChat (you can find it on Companies). Claiming it lets you run its page and dashboard.
- Step 1: Under Find your company, start typing its name and pick it from the list. Press Continue.
- Step 2: Under Tell us about hiring, add your Work email and how many roles you're hiring for.
- Step 3: Press Claim page. You land on your organisation dashboard.
If you signed in with an email at your company's own web address (for example you@acme.com for acme.com), your claim goes through straight away. Otherwise we check it first: your dashboard says We're checking your claim, and until we've confirmed you work there your company page doesn't show your roles, your employer brand or a Follow button. Free email addresses, such as Gmail, are always checked. Universities, schools and government bodies are always checked too, whatever email you use, because students and public servants have addresses there. We usually check a claim within 2 working days and tell you how it went in your notifications. If we can't confirm it, your workspace stays private.
Already claimed?
Each company can be claimed once. If someone has already claimed yours, we'll tell you. If they don't work there, choose Report a problem and pick Account & sign-in, or email hello@koffeechat.com: we'll check and release the claim so you can make yours.
Create a private organisation
Choose this for a company that isn't listed yet, or for a community you run yourself.
- Step 1: Type your Organisation name.
- Step 2: Add your Company website if you have one. We use it to fetch your logo and to help write answers to what future hires ask.
- Step 3: Choose who can see it: Private (the default, invite-only) or Public, which appears on Discover for all talents. A public organisation can't use the name of a company already listed on KoffeeChat: claim that company's page instead.
- Step 4: Press Create organisation.
You'll then see your Shepherd code and Talent code. Anyone you share them with can join your community. You'll always find them again under Team & Access. Join codes, invite links and visibility
One account can set up 3 organisations in total. A workspace stays when we decline its claim (it becomes private), so it still counts. Need more? Choose Report a problem and we'll help.
