Frequently asked questions
Who can see my profile?
Approved shepherds, in their Talents list, once you've finished setting up, unless you switch off Show my profile to shepherds in Settings → Privacy & visibility. Anyone you share your public profile link with sees the parts you choose in What visitors see on your Profile. Your CV, LinkedIn, growth plan and career ladder stay private until you switch them on or include them in a booking. Organisations see your profile only when you follow them or show interest in a role.
Will my public profile show up on Google?
No. Your public profile link asks search engines not to list it, and its random ending makes it hard to guess, so people normally find it only if you share it. If you change it to just your name, it's easy to guess. You can switch the link off on your Profile at any time.
How do I switch off my public profile link?
On your Profile, use the switch at the bottom of Your public profile link. Anyone opening it then sees Profile not available. Switch it back on whenever you like; the link stays the same.
Can I hide my photo?
Yes. In Settings → Privacy & visibility, switch off Profile photo and shepherds browsing talents see your initials instead. A shepherd you book still sees your photo with your request.
What CV formats can I upload?
PDF, DOC or DOCX, up to 10 MB, in Settings → CV & LinkedIn. If your file is too big, saving it as a PDF usually helps.
How do I change the name people see?
Go to Settings → Profile, change your First name and Last name and press Save. People always see the name you typed, never your email address.
How do I remove my CV?
Go to Settings → CV & LinkedIn, press Remove on Your CV and confirm. Shepherds can no longer open it after that.
