Joining your organisation

Accept your invite or use a joining code, and what to do if we can't find a work account for your email.
There are two ways in: an email invitation from your organisation, which gives you a work account, or a joining code, which adds you to its community.
Accept an email invitation
- Step 1: Open the invitation email from KoffeeChat and press the button to join.
- Step 2: On the Work invitation page (or Shepherd invitation, if you've been invited to mentor), check the email address it was sent to.
- Step 3: Press Sign up with your work email, or I already have an account if you've used that address before. Use exactly the address the invitation went to.
- Step 4: Confirm your email if we ask you to. If you confirm it on the same device, you come straight back to your invitation.
- Step 5: You'll see Welcome to your organisation. Press Open your workspace. Invited to be a shepherd? You'll see You're a shepherd at your organisation, marked Awaiting approval; press Set up your shepherd profile. KoffeeChat reviews it before talents can book you.
Google or password?
Use Continue with Google only if your work email is a Google account. Otherwise, sign up with your work email and a password.
If something doesn't look right

Confirm your email first
What to do: Open the confirmation email we sent to the invited address, then press I've confirmed it.
This invitation belongs to another email
What to do: You're signed in with a different address. Press Create my work account: we sign you out, then you sign up or sign in with the invited address.
This invitation can't be used
What to do: It was revoked or can't be found. Ask your admin to send a new one.

What to do: Open it again straight from the invitation email, or ask your admin to resend it.

What to do: It's usually a brief hiccup. Press Try again in a moment.
Already have a personal KoffeeChat account on that same email? We explain that it will become your work account, and you can choose Join anyway or Not now. If you'd rather keep them apart, use a different email for your personal account.
Use a joining code
If your organisation gave you a code (it starts with TL- or SH-), open the link they shared or enter the code on the join page and press Try code. You need to be signed in. A code adds you to the organisation's community; it doesn't create a work account. Join codes, invite links and visibility
No work account on this email
If you open your work account and we can't find one, your organisation probably invited you at a different address. Press Sign in with work email and sign in with your company address, or press I have a joining code. Same email for work and personal? Ask your admin to invite you.
