Reading a shepherd's profile
For talents and shepherdsUpdated 16 Oct 2026
What a shepherd's profile tells you: their banner and actions, what they can help with, where they've worked, their rating and their public booking page.
Before you book, a minute on someone's profile tells you whether they're the right person, and gives you something to ask about.
Opening a profile
- On Coffee Chats (or Network, for shepherds), rest your mouse on a shepherd's photo or name for a moment, or press their card.
- Under Your coffee chats, rest on (or press) the photo or name of the shepherd a chat is with.
- On a phone or tablet, tap their name or photo.
The profile opens in a window over the page. Back, the X, Escape or a click outside it closes it. On a computer, Maximise makes it fill the window, and it stays that size for the next profile you open.
At the top
- Their banner and photo, their name, role and company, their rating and where they're based.
- Verified means a real person whose profile our team has approved.
- Book a coffee chat ☕ starts a booking. If they're away, it says On a break. Check back soon.
- LinkedIn opens their LinkedIn profile, when they've added it.
- Public page opens their booking page in a new tab, and Copy booking link copies its address.
- Message appears when you can write to them. Who you can message

Rating shows New until enough different people have rated their chats, so no single rating can be traced back. After that, a card of what talents say about them appears, with their average, their stars and how many people have rated them.
Shepherds choose what visitors see, so some profiles show fewer sections. Their name, photo, role, current company and Verified always show.
Their public booking page
Every approved shepherd has a page of their own, at an address like app.koffeechat.com/shepherd/their-name. Press Public page on their profile to open it. Shepherds often share this link on LinkedIn, and anyone can start a booking from it, even without an account. Booking from a shepherd's page without an account
